Overview The Broadening Horizons programme attracts international pre-University students from all over the world each summer. The programme combines academic work, with practical workshops and exciting activities in Oxford. The programme also includes the option to travel to locations of historic interest in the afternoons and weekends. General Information The Broadening Horizons programme is a chance for students aged 16 to 18 years to travel to the UK and participate in one of our most challenging and rewarding programmes available. Students live on the campus of Oxford University and take academic classes in major and minor areas of their choosing. One of the things that makes this programme stand out is that it is a truly international summer school. Last summer students came from all over the world and many students reported that making friendships with students living thousands of miles away was a magical experience. In addition, because we run courses for both fluent and non-fluent speakers, the two groups have the opportunity to come together during social and cultural events. The course consists of the following elements:

Opportunities include London, Stonehenge, Roman Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle and Broughton Castle. Weekend Excursions Students may also take part in expeditions to Paris, Brussels, Edinburgh and Cornwall, where students have the chance to learn more about each location’s history and cultural significance. Oxford The alma mater of many famous poets, scientists and politicians, Oxford is a magnificent town full of ancient colleges, museums and parks.
