Overview

This course is designed for students who wish to combine general English with specific classes in the following examination areas:

Cambridge Examination:

• FCE (First Certificate in English)

• CAE (Certificate in Advanced English)

Other Examinations:

• IELTS (International English Language Testing System; Academic)

• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Other Exams

• Available on request

English Level

The morning sessions are divided into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The examination class level will depend on the examination you are taking.

Timetable

There are morning classes each day, with a break for coffee and tea. Students also have afternoon classes on three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). On other afternoons and the weekends there are a variety of activities.

Location

St Hilda’s is a large spacious college situated right on the banks of the river beside the University Botanical Gardens with a wonderful view of Christ Church Meadows. It is a beautiful place to live and study. The College is a short walk from the heart of Oxford.

Students stay in single or twin rooms on staircases in the main college building. The lawns are great for outdoor games and the main gate is monitored 24-7 by the porters, making it safe, secure and fun so perfect for our students.

Deposit

There is a booking deposit of £395.00 to accompany your application. Confirmation of your place will be sent to you once your application form has been processed.
