Overview

The Intensive English Programme is a popular programme for young students needing to improve their English over the summer vacation.

Students work in small groups of up to 14 students per class and focus particularly on grammar, pronunciation and fluency.

General Information

This course is for students who wish to improve their general accuracy and fluency in the language, but also take part in English cultural activities.

English Level

There are three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Student level testing is carried out via an online test before arrival.

Timetable

The morning classes run each day, with a break for coffee and tea. Three afternoons a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) students participate in workshops. On other afternoons and the weekends there are a variety of activities.

Location

St Hilda’s is a large spacious college situated right on the banks of the river beside the University Botanical Gardens with a wonderful view of Christ Church Meadows. It is a beautiful place to live and study. The College is a short walk from the heart of Oxford. Students stay in single or twin rooms on staircases in the main college building. The lawns are great for outdoor games and the main gate is monitored 24-7 by the porters, making it safe, secure and fun so perfect for our students.

Deposit

There is a booking deposit of £395.00 to accompany your application. Confirmation of your place will be sent to you once your application form has been processed.
