General Information

The Intensive English Programme is our most popular programme for adults needing to improve their English over the summer vacation.

Students work in small groups of up to 8 students per class and focus particularly on grammar, pronunciation and fluency.

Levels

There are various levels which are streamed according to the results of an online test, which students must take prior to arrival.

Timetable

The morning classes run from 0900-1230 each day, with a break for coffee and tea. Students are free to go into the town to buy lunch, and must return for the afternoon activity or workshop.

Course fees include:

• 15 General English classes per week

• 6 afternoon workshops per week

Location

Situated on Mansfield Road, opposite Mansfield and Harris Mancester Colleges, and just around the corner from New College, the University Club is just 5 minutes walk from the heart of the city.

Facts

Opened in 2004 by the Vice Chancellor of Oxford University to provide a social and sporting centre for all staff, post-graduates, alumni and retired staff of the university, the University Club offers superb en-suite rooms and excellent views across the Club field. Within the unique crescent-shaped building is a bar, caf? plasma TV screens and a gym. Expect to see several games of cricket played on the pavilion!

There is a booking deposit of ?395.00 to accompany your application. Confirmation of your place will be sent to you once your application form has been processed.
