If you would like to take lessons with a personal tutor whilst you are in Oxford, it will certainly be something ORA can help you with. There are two broad contexts in which private tutoring can be taken:

(1) An Optional Extra

This is for students who have already chosen their main course booking, but would like to supplement this with extra classes in a particular area. It might be an academic subject, musical instrument tuition or a skill such as public speaking or web design.

(2) Personal Programme

If you would like us to build a personal tutoring programme to meet your needs, this will also be possible in most cases.

We are able to arrange personal programmes for Company Directors, Personal Assistants, Government Workers, or indeed anyone who needs an intensive programme fitted perfectly to their requirements.

For example, last summer Kiki from Switzerland needed some intensive help with her English reading skills. We teamed her up with an Oxford English Tutor, who helped to identity strategies to strengthen her in this area. The classes took place in the grounds of Exeter College, which is where Kiki stayed for the programme.
