New for 2011

We have a number of new courses, two brand new centres, new brochures and a whole lot more to tell you about - see below for details of all the new and exciting things happening at Oxford Royale Academy!

Balliol College, a new campus for Summer 2011

We are delighted to announce that in Summer 2011 ORA will be offering  its courses at Balliol College, one of the oldest colleges of Oxford University.

Since its foundation in 1263 Balliol has been one of the most progressive, politically active and best-performing colleges of the University. The numerous notable alumni of the College include Adam Smith, father of modern Economics, writers Matthew Arnold and Aldous Huxley and three former British Prime Ministers (Herbert Asquith, Harold Macmillan, and Edward Heath).

Balliol is perfectly located in the centre of town, less than a 5-minute walk away from the Ashmolean Museum, Radcliffe Square and the city's shopping districts. The College's location, prestige and beautiful architecture make it the ideal setting for summer study.

Oxford Royale Academy will also be making us Balliol's Jowett Walk annexe with its small theatre and sports facilities which have hosted many University football and cricket games.

For more information about the College please visit their website at www.balliol.ox.ac.uk.

The course is designed for international students who would like to apply to study an undergraduate degree in the UK, or who are thinking of taking a degree taught in English anywhere in the world. Over two weeks students gain reading and writing skills which will be necessary in their future study, and get a flavour of how academic English may differ from the English they have studied to date.
