"Attending Oxford Royale Academy’s New Perspectives course for 4 weeks was literally the best experience of my life! The two different morning subjects that I took, Math & Economics and British History & Politics, were superb, as were all the teachers who taught them. I felt particularly inspired and amazed by Dr. Stella Moss, who taught British History; and Salim Mansoor, who taught economics; as they were really passionate and knowledgeable about the subjects they taught, and also because they taught me to appreciate British History and Economics and helped me gain new perspectives about these subjects. I learned a lot of things that I hadn’t learned before in these subjects, and I highly recommend them.

The excursions and activities that Oxford Royale Academy organized were also fantastic; we went to a wide range of places in just 4 weeks – from Madame Tussauds in London to Stonehenge and the city Bath in Somerset. We also visited numerous castles on this trip - all of which fascinated me immensely. The activities that we did as a school, like a karaoke night and silent disco in the second session, really brought us all together as we were able to share common interests, thoughts and ideas.

I had so much fun at Oxford Royale Academy and I firmly believe that the 4 weeks that I spent in Oxford were the 4 best weeks of my life as I learned so many things that I hadn’t discovered before. The amazing memories I have of this place are countless and I shall never, ever forget them!"

"I have two best memories which I will never forget. First one is the talent show; it was really nice to sing the song 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' with everyone. And the other one is the graduation ceremony in the chapel! I hope everybody will have the same opportunity to go to Oxford and meet new people."

"This summer, I took a course with Oxford Royale Academy and had a great time.  Everyone was very helpful and entertaining, and I made many new friends while learning many new things.

In the mornings, I studied Humanities with Bianca and Science with Matthew. In Humanities we examined the works of writers like Shakespeare and Chaucer, learning how to understand English from different periods and to recognize literary devices like anaphora and euphemism which was very interesting. In Science, we studied amongst other things the rock cycle, acids, and cell structure. To demonstrate the effects of acid on different types of metal Matthew showed us a funny Youtube video which concluded with a massive fire!

In the afternoons, we visited many famous places like the Pitt Rivers museum, Hampton Court and Blenheim Palace which was my favourite because of its maze which was really hard to get out of!

After dinner, I enjoyed playing football and rounders in South Park. In Hong Kong, I love playing tennis and at Merton College we had the opportunity to try Real Tennis.

I also loved the tuck shop and so ate far too many Maltesers. In addition, at the beginning of each 2-week session, as a treat, everyone got ice-cream from G&D, the best in Oxford!

On the last day, we had a formal dinner then at our graduation ceremony at University College I made a leaving speech and received the science excellence award!"
