Weekend trips within the UK and Europe provide an excellent opportunity spend a few days exploring new surroundings.

Leadership & Activity Excursions

Cornwall (Ages 16+)

Scheduled Dates:

22nd – 24th August

Travel to Cornwall on England's beautiful south coast for a weekend of sun, sea, surf and supervised activities. The students will take part in leadership and team building events, surfing lessons in the Atlantic, rock climbing, hiking, orienteering and also learning to pitch a tent for the night. This trip includes return travel to Cornwall, all the equipment needed, full supervision, meals and activities.

Weekend Trips - European Rail Excursions

Edinburgh (Ages 14+)

Scheduled Dates:

11th – 13th July
16th – 19th July
8th – 10th August
22nd – 24th August

Since 1437 Edinburgh has been the Scottish capital and seat of the Scottish parliament. After London Edinburgh is the second most visited tourist destination in the UK and the students on t his trip will be able to find out why. During the weekend the students will visit Edinburgh Castle, see the Scottish Crown Jewels, walk down The Royal Mile and visit the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre. There will also be time for some souvenir shopping and Edinburgh boasts the oldest independent department store. The weekend includes return travel from Oxford to Edinburgh, accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, admission fees and an Oxford Royale group leader.

Paris (Ages 14+)

16th – 19th July
8th – 10th August
22nd – 24th August

Take the Eurostar from the brand new station at St Pancreas and be in the French capital in 2.5 hours. Paris is a great place for a short visit allowing for fantastic whirlwind tours with time left for relaxing and shopping. See Notre Damme, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe. Take a walk down the Champs Elysees and cruise down the Seine. The weekend includes return travel from Oxford to Paris, accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours admission fees and an Oxford Royale group leader.

Brussels (Ages 14+)

22nd – 24th August

Brussels is a truly international city with 250,000 of its 1 million inhabitance coming from outside of Belgium. Brussels is the heart of the European Union and is packed full of incredible restaurants, cafes that never close and delightful chocolate shops. Visit the Palais des Nations and the Royal Palace in this cosmopolitan city. The weekend includes return travel from Oxford to Brussels, accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, admission fees and an Oxford Royale group leader.
