Transfer Information

Airport Transfers

Oxford Royale Academy offers two transfer options for your summer programme: a coach transfer and a taxi transfer. These can be booked and paid for by filling out the booking form. Transfers can only be booked once you have all of your travel information complete, for example flight number, arrival time and airport. A full list of the required travel information can be found on t he booking form. 

The closest airport to Oxford is London Heathrow which is 1 hour by car or bus. Stansted, Luton and Gatwick are all 2-3 hours from Oxford by car. For our Cambridge course the taxi transfer is the only available option. The closest airports to Cambridge are London Stansted (40 minutes by car) and London Luton (1 hour by car). For journeys to Cambridge London Heathrow is 1.5 hours and London Gatwick is 2 hours by car.

Taxi Transfer


CAB o the right.jpgOur Taxi Transfers travel to and from all major London airports (listed below). When arriving students will be met at the arrivals barrier by the driver who will be carrying an Oxford Royale Academy sign along with the student's name. Students under the age of 16 will be also be accompanied by an Oxford Royale Academy member of staff. Students will then be dropped off at their college to begin their programme. When leaving the programme students are collected from their college and taken to the correct check-in desk with plenty of time to spare. Students under the age of 16 are accompanied by an Oxford Royale Academy member of staff who will stay with them until they make their way through to the departure lounge.

Airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City, Birmingham.

Coach Transfer

Coach Bus 55PAX.jpgOur Coach Transfers operate between Oxford and London Heathrow only. Students are able to book a place on the coach in advance allowing them to walk through the arrival zone, meet the Oxford Royale Academy representative and make their way to the coach. The coaches leave from Heathrow during the arrival days (Sundays) and will travel from Oxford to all Heathrow terminals on departure days (Saturdays).

Arrival Days (Sundays): First coach leaves Heathrow, 9am. Last coach leaves Heathrow, 4pm.

Departure Days (Saturdays): First coach leaves Oxford, 6am. Last coach leaves Oxford, 2pm.

How to Book

To book one of these transfers, students must complete the PDF booking form found here and return it to our offices by faxing it to +44 (0) 845 280 0122 or emailing a scanned copy to admin@oxford-royale.co.uk.

The transfer will only be booked once students have provided payment in full. Any changes to flight information should be sent to admin@oxford-royale.co.uk.

  • Booking forms must sent to us no less than 30 days before the start of your course.
  • Please ensure that all the information provided is correct and written clearly.
