The University Foundation Year at ORA is an intensive programme that prepares international students for study at university degree level.

The programme is designed for ambitious international school-leavers and offers intensive English tuition as well as high-class academic teaching to enable students to make successful applications to universities in the UK and abroad.

Students live and study on ORA’s Yarnton Manor campus, a beautiful and tranquil setting just outside Oxford. With challenging classes and a safe campus, the experience is an ideal transition from school to university. Students may register for a six- or nine-month course, depending on their standard of English upon enrolment.

Small class sizes ensure that students benefit from personal attention to their academic development in their chosen subject. Intensive English classes ensure that the students graduate from the course with English skills that will enable them to make successful applications to university. Study skills, personal and social development, and cultural knowledge are embedded into the teaching.

ORA has been delivering award-winning academic and EFL programmes to international students for over 10 years. This focus on a high quality experience for our students characterises the University Foundation Year. Our Yarnton Manor campus is a safe and serene environment ideal for students transitioning between school and university.
