This summer, ORA will welcome students from around the world to the wonderful environment of Goodenough College, in the heart of London. Over two weeks, students will have the opportunity to explore their chosen subject in detail, under expert guidance from ORA’s teaching faculty, whilst living and studying in the UK’s bustling capital city.
Courses are available in Medicine, Engineering and Business. Spaces for each course are strictly limited – read on to find out how studying a summer programme in London with Oxford Royale could benefit you.

about the London Summer School
Our courses are residential in Goodenough College, in Bloomsbury, ensuring students have all of London’s cultural, social, and historical sights on their doorstep.
Even those of you who have attended London summer courses before are guaranteed to discover your new favourite street, café, or neighbourhood in a culturally-rich city which welcomes over 18 million tourists and international students each year.
London is the most culturally diverse city in the UK, resulting in a broad-minded and intellectually-stimulating mindset which is envied the world over.
Within ORA, too, we pride ourselves on the wide-ranging international mix of attendees on our summer programmes: in 2016 we hosted students from 108 nationalities, and we look forward to increasing this number in 2017!
All of our London summer courses are designed and delivered by expert members of the Oxford Royale teaching faculty. Teachers are qualified to at least a Masters level in their discipline, and undergo specific training in the delivery of their lessons, lectures and seminars to ORA’s international student community.
Lessons feature plenty of dynamic, interactive discussion, enabling each student to contribute their own perspective on the topic, and to learn from others in the class. Courses also include academically-relevant and enriching excursions to sites within London and beyond.
Whilst we take our academic responsibilities seriously, here at Oxford Royale Academy we like to provide students with a rich extra-curricular programme to complement classroom time across each session. Students enjoy afternoon workshops and guest lectures, as well as the myriad cultural opportunities that living and studying in a major capital city brings: plays, musicals, and museum tours have all featured in previous years’ itineraries.
Visits and tours of top London universities, such as Imperial College London, University College London, and SOAS are all included, ensuring students have the opportunity to experience and contemplate what longer term study in London might be like for them.
Options such as Medical School Preparation – our London medical summer school – enable you to pursue your interest in a career option usually not available until university or beyond.
All of our courses for ages 16-18 introduce subjects and topics not typically found on the average school curriculum, taking students out of their academic comfort zone and providing a tantalising glimpse into higher-level study. Students seeking an introduction to real-life career situations might like to consider our London business summer programme, the Business and Enterprise Programme.
This course is for students who are considering applying to British medical schools, who want to know more about the courses available and the application processes, and would like personalised advice on writing personal statements.

I had an amazing time at ORA. Every student was incredibly friendly and smart, and I had a wonderful time getting to know each and every person. My time at ORA flew by and by the time it was time to leave I couldn’t believe I was leaving my new friends. I highly recommend the programme as an opportunity to make friends and learn about other cultures.
The Medical School Preparation programme was amazing. The teachers were great, and it has really broadened my medical knowledge. Outside classes, our wonderful counsellors made it unforgettable with fun activities and games. This was definitely the best summer experience and would recommend it for anyone. I would surely return next year.
ORA was a life changing experience. Not only did I learn about different subjects, I also learned who I really am. It was a wonderful experience. I made many friends from different countries and got to experience what university life is really like. I hope that I will be able to come back next year. It was two weeks I will never forget.
