Public Transport to/from Airports
London Heathrow and Gatwick airports are linked to Oxford by The Airline coach service, which operates a direct frequent service twenty-four hours a day. This can be booked online at http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/ or bought from the driver in cash. The cost of a return ticket is 15 – 35 GBP.
London Stansted and London Luton airports are linked to Oxford by the National Express 737 coach service, running every two hours. Tickets can be booked online at: http://www.nationalexpress.com/ or bought from the driver in cash. The cost of a return ticket is around 25 GBP from Stansted Airport and 17 GBP from Luton Airport.

An increasing number of Oxford Royale Academy students travelling from Europe choose to take the Eurostar to St Pancras International. The quickest way to transfer from St Pancras International to Oxford is to take another train, departing from London Paddington Station, which can be reached by taxi, or by London Underground (the tube). Public Transport from London
A direct train runs between London Paddington Station and Oxford every 30 minutes and the journey duration is 55 minutes. Make sure you check train times online at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. Once you get to Oxford station, you can take a taxi to your College.
A direct train line also runs between London Marylebone Station and Oxford, stopping at Oxford Parkway Station. Oxford Parkway is 10 minutes by taxi from our home in Yarnton Manor, while students travelling to our other locations in the city can continue to Oxford Station.
There is a frequent, 24-hour direct coach service from London to Oxford. At busy times of day it runs every 10-20 minutes. For more information visit http://www.oxfordtube.com/ or http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/. Once you get to the coach station in Oxford, you can take a taxi to your College.
Arrival day is always a Sunday.
Students’ rooms will be available after 12 midday and students are welcome to arrive all day. Our staff will be on site all morning and afternoon helping with bags and registration. Registration is a simple process and all you need to do is locate the Oxford Royale college office or the porters’ lodge. If you know that you are arriving early in the morning or late in the evening please let us know so that we can do our best to make sure that you are met when you arrive at the lodge. There is a welcome reception for all students and parents at 5pm in the college and dinner is usually served at 6pm.
Departure day is always a Saturday.
Students must check-out of their rooms by 10am. If they are departing later in the day there will be space to store their luggage in the college. Before students leave their rooms they should check thoroughly that they have not left anything behind.
At 5pm on the arrival day there will be a welcome reception for new students, parents and friends are more than welcome to attend. The welcome reception will give students and parents a chance to meet the Residential Director and their team of Counsellors. The Residential Director will give a short speech to introduce themselves, their staff and the college. After the reception, dinner will be served at 6pm in the college and parents are encouraged to say their goodbyes at this point.
Flights and Airports
The most convenient airports in relation to Oxford are the major London airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton. Heathrow is the closest airport to Oxford and is 1hr away by car. Heathrow (1.5 hr) and Gatwick (2.5 hr) offer regular coach services to Oxford at a good price.
